Support
Stuck, found a bug, or have an idea? Email support@petalpost.app and you’ll hear back from a human — usually within a day or two. Including what you tapped and what you expected to happen makes fixes much faster.
Getting started
- How do I pair with my partner? One of you generates an invite from the pairing screen (or Profile) and sends the link — one tap joins them. There’s also a 6-character code you can read out instead. A space holds exactly two people.
- My sign-in code never arrived. Check your spam or junk folder first, and confirm the email address is spelled right. Codes expire quickly — request a fresh one and enter it right away. Still nothing? Email us.
- Can we use it long-distance? Yes — Petal Post doesn’t care where either of you are. Daily questions, notes, moods, and plans work the same across any distance or time zone.
Using the app
- When do I see my partner’s answer? After you’ve both answered the day’s question — answers stay sealed until then.
- Notifications aren’t arriving. Check Profile → Notifications is on, then iOS Settings → Notifications → Petal Post. Notifications are always written as teasers — your partner’s actual words never appear on your lock screen.
- What are the “magic” features? Optional AI helpers (date concierge, recipe import, deeper questions, gift ideas, a monthly letter). They’re off until you turn them on in Profile, and you can turn them off again anytime — the Privacy Policy explains exactly what they can and can’t see.
- My partner left — what happens to the space? The space stays, waiting: you’ll see an invite prompt to bring them (or someone new) back in. Your own notes, answers, and ratings stay yours; content authored by a partner who deletes their account is erased with them.
Subscription & account
- How does Premium billing work? Premium is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple — one subscription from either partner covers you both. Apple handles all billing and refunds.
- How do I cancel the subscription? iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Petal Post. Deleting the app (or your account) does not cancel a subscription — cancel it there first.
- How do I delete my account? Profile → Delete account. It’s immediate and permanent, and closes the shared space for both of you — details in the Privacy Policy.
- Can I get my data out? Yes — Profile → Download your data hands you a JSON file of everything you can see in the app: your notes, answers, plans, and memories.
